What Extraordinary is about... Empty
PostSubject: What Extraordinary is about...   What Extraordinary is about... EmptyTue Jun 14, 2011 4:34 am

Welcome to Extraordinary.

Extraordinary is one of the few RPG-forums with a multi subject as theme. By which we mean we have taken 7 stories (worlds) and merged them into one world. Our 7 stories are: Harry Potter, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Twilight, House Of Night, Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
You might have noticed that 7 is quite huge and especially with our chosen subjects but as there is not a single forum that includes all of them, and they are combined together very, very interesting, we have chosen to do that. It might seem chaotic or a bit too much, but that is frankly the admins concern and trust us, we will make sure everything stays clean and clarified.

The main storyline as to how every character has gotten here is that they all have been Apparated (magical form of teleportation) to the Wizarding World and in order to survive, everyone has to get themselves acclimated into the Wizarding World!

With that all said you can read bellow how a RPG-forum works! Have fun =)

What to do?

Are you new with the whole concept of a RPG game and you don’t have a clue as where to start?

Don’t panic! I’ll sum things up for you.
You’ve probably created a character by now and decided what kind of type your character is (vampire/werewolf/muggle etc). When you are approved by an admin you can go on and open a topic wherever you want.
Already filled in that list? Then you are ready with signing up and you can open a topic in one of the places at the Wizarding World. You can create a topic by clicking ‘new topic’ and type a name for your topic and type your story. For example:

Parkinson was walking around and decided to take things slow today, but then she heard something. Her head snapped up, looking around fiercely.

Another character can react to your post and you can react to that etc. You can also join someone else' topic, but be careful! When you see this mark (X) in the name of a topic that means it’s closed and you can not post a reaction in that topic. In any other topic you are free to post.

Here’s a list with everything you need to know about the character-types you can choose from!

Vampires:
These are the vamps from The Vampire Diaries. Which means they can only walk in sunlight if they have a Lapis Lazuli ring/necklace, on which there must be a spell casted! They have fangs and are very fast, can turn into 1, max. 2, animal(s), can control the weather and get very strong the more they age. NOTE: They can only change into animals if they’re very old!!

Vampires type 2:
>>These are the ones from True Blood!
Vampires are pale and cold, extremely strong and fast, and have keen senses of hearing, smell and vision. This makes it easy for them to protect themselves. They have the ability to remain completely still, expressionless and silent. Vampires can control the minds of humans (glamour, often seen as a form of hypnosis), and a few can even fly; individuals may have other powers and abilities.

Vampires' fangs come out when they are hungry, see blood, are sexually aroused, or when they need to fight. A vampire is compelled to obey his or her maker (or 'sire' as they are known in other vampire universes). The visages of Stackhouse vampires do not age. They can survive and recover from most forms of physical injury, but they will die if staked, exposed to sunlight, completely drained of their blood (if not treated promptly), or decapitated. Silver is highly toxic to them. Unlike the vampire mythology of other universes, crucifixes have no effect on vampires in The Stackhouse universe, holy water and garlic are merely irritants, and most (except the "very old ones") are able to enter places of worship or step on "holy-ground". Like most other universes, however, they cannot enter a home unless invited and once they have been uninvited, they must exit the premises.

Weres and Shapeshifters:
>>These are the ones from True Blood!
Can assume both human and animal forms. A variety of different types of weres and shapeshifters exist in The Southern Vampire Mysteries, including werewolves, werepanthers, weretigers, werefoxes, etc. In this universe, a were-child (who will unwillingly transform upon exposure to a full moon) can be conceived when a mortal mates with either a "Shifter" or a "Were", but only pure couples (both Weres or both Shifters) conceive children that can change at will. Being bitten by a were can also transform a person unwillingly at full moons but a person must be bitten several times to accumulate growth. Shapeshifting conditions manifest in puberty. Shapeshifters can assume the form of any animal, but most often change to the same animal every time, usually a creature that they have a special affinity for. On the other hand, Wereanimals are those who can change to only one type of animal and they call themselves by that animal: Weredog or Werebat. Within the Shapeshifting and Weres community, the term "Were" is only reserved for the wolves. The Weres consider themselves superior within the shapeshifters, but they all cooperate with each other. Most of the two-natured beings organize themselves into packs; each pack is led by a packmaster.
Although vampires announced their existence to the world, the two-natured beings maintained their secrecy to observe the vampires' results.

Witches:
They can cast spells, though when they try things which are too powerful they will have to pay a price! Which is often their own lives!

Demons:
The demons can turn into any kind of form they want, they can also influence you by using Malachs, (octopus-look-a-like insects which can encounter your body and take over it.
(Pleace note that we haven’t made this one up, it comes all from the fantastic brain called: L.J. Smith.

There are way more.. coming soon!!
(Meanwhile you can also do some searching on google about the character you want to play, because frankly there are so many characters that our list would go on for ever!)
